causes of global warming

Over the years, humans have caused global warming to occur due to changing the balance between the Earth time scales and its spatial scales. This has thus caused the influence in temperature change. The most prominent cause to global warming is greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases are cause by humans as they give out the several gases in the atmosphere, mainly: Water vapour, Carbon dioxide, Methane, Surface level ozone, Nitrous Oxides, and fluorinated gases. Humans has used up large amount of aerosols and ozone thus influencing the earth’s climate.

This graph shows how many million metric tons of carbon has been released to the Earth’s atmosphere by the gases.
(Petroleum, coal, natural gas & cement production)

The lower part of the picture shows the sources individually for the gases carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide, respectively. (Graph from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Greenhouse_Gas_by_Sector.png)
